Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a disc brake with a parking brake having a service brake and an electric parking brake arranged together to be realized without making its tremendous large scale unit or without increasing any weight and further without so much as complicating a caliper structure of the service brake.SOLUTION: This invention relates to an electric parking brake comprising a floating caliper 11, two reversing type slide pins 12, a piston for pressing a pair of opposed pads and one pad and an electric actuator for propelling the piston. The two reverse type slide pins 12 are arranged at one side of the floating caliper 11 in a disc circumferential direction with its position being displaced in the disc radial direction and the reverse type slide pins 12 can support the floating caliper 11 so as to be slid in an axial direction of the disc.
