Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric parking brake unit protective structure of an automobile for preventing damage of an electric parking brake unit even in derailment time.SOLUTION: A protective bracket 101f of a trailing arm type rear suspension 101 is installed so as to project in the vehicle lower side direction to a damper installation bracket 101e. The protective bracket 101f comprises a bottom surface being the lowest end position on the vehicle lower side than a position for installing an electric parking brake unit 103c. The electric parking brake unit 103c of a drum type brake device 103 is arranged on the vehicle lower side to a back plate 103a. The electric parking brake unit 103c is arranged on a bottom surface of the protective bracket 101f, that is, on the vehicle upper side than a derailment time grounding position P. Thus, even if a rear wheel of an automobile is derailed, damage of the electric parking brake unit 103c can be prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
