Abstract:
PURPOSE: To offer a device that prevents disorder to a driver by controlling on/off of a generator through comparison of a charge start or stop threshold level of a battery with the actual capacity level of the battery.
CONSTITUTION: Output of a generator 1 driven by an internal combustion engine 7 and an output of a battery 1, drive wheels 3A and 3B through a motor controller 4. An electric power generation system controller 9 identifies through an operation status detector what type of operation is used; internal combustion engine, battery, or hybrid, and detects through a battery capacity detector 11 an actual capacity level of a battery 1. The controller then compares a charging start or stop threshold level set on a target battery capacity level setting means 9A with an actual capacity level 9B, controls on/off of the internal combustion engine 7 and generator 6 through a generator controller 9C, and informs 9D it, thereby eliminating the disorder to a driver.
