Abstract:
To provide an electric power steering device that is able to minimize a variation width of resistance force to linear motion of a rack shaft in an axial direction.SOLUTION: The respective center axes of a steering-side pinion shaft 10 and an assist-side pinion shaft 13 swing and rotate in accordance with rotation. A phase difference between a rotation angle of the steering-side pinion shaft 10 based on a rotation position at which a frictional force acting between an outer peripheral surface of a rack shaft 11 and a pressing part of a steering-side rack guide is maximum in one rotation of the steering-side pinion shaft 10 and a rotation angle of the assist-side pinion shaft 13 based on a rotation position at which a frictional force acting between the outer peripheral surface of the rack shaft 11 and a pressing part of an assist-side rack guide 37 is maximum in one rotation of the assist-side pinion shaft 13 falls within a predetermined angle range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
