This electric power steering device is provided with a steering speed integration means for integrating a steering speed calculated from a steering angle for a predetermined time; a steering torque integration means for integrating a steering torque for a predetermined time; a memory means for memorizing a relationship of the steering speed integration value and a steering torque integration value corresponding to a car speed; a means for operating the steering speed integration value integrated and a difference of the steering torque integration value memorized in the memory means corresponding to the car speed detected by a car speed sensor and a steering torque integration value integrated; judgment means (S38, 48) for judging large and small of the difference operated and a predetermined threshold value; and correction means (S44, 46, 54, 56) for correcting a target value of a motor current based on the difference when the judgment means continuously judges large at a plural times (S38, 48) or when the judgment means continuously judges small at a plural times (S48, 50).
