Abstract:
To provide an electric power steering device improved in limit slip speed and durability in the environment of high temperature as high as 160°C while a reduction gear made of a synthetic resin is used.
This electric power steering device has an electric motor for generating steering assisting force and a reduction gear for reducing the rotating speed by a gear mechanism connected to a rotating shaft of the motor. At least one of reduction gears of the gear mechanism is made of a synthetic resin. The synthetic resin-made gear is lubricated with grease. The grease is improved in lubrication durability at a high temperature while starting turning torque at a low temperature is kept low.
