Abstract:
To restrain transmission of abnormal sound generated by providing an electric motor to an operating member.
This electric power steering device is furnished with a worm 21 interlocked with and connected to a driving shaft of the electric motor 2 for steering assistance, a worm wheel 22 to be engaged with the worm 21, an output shaft 13 to support the worm wheel 22 and an input shaft 11 coaxially connected to the output shaft 13 through a torsion bar 12 and having a cavity 11c on its shaft center part. A vibration absorbing member 5 is arranged in the cavity 11c of the input shaft 11 so as to adhere to an inner surface so as to absorb vibration propagated to the input shaft 11 by the vibration absorbing member 5.
