Abstract:
To achieve structure capable of easily reducing cost by reducing the number of components and of making center axes of a pair of rolling bearings 8a, 8b supporting both end parts of a worm shaft 7a correspond to each other when rotating force is transmitted from a worm tooth 6a to a worm wheel 4 to apply assist force to a steering shaft by an electric motor 5.
The rolling bearing 8a supporting the tip part of the worm shaft 7a is supported inside a guide sleeve 20 displaceable to the direction receding from/approaching to the worm wheel 4. With the rolling bearing 8a displaced to a direction farthest away from the worm wheel 4 inside the guide sleeve 20, the center axes of the both rolling bearings 8a, 8b are made correspond to each other.
