To provide an electric power steering device capable of suppressing reverse input through a steering wheel without giving adverse influence to steering feeling.
When ECU 30 controls generation of assistant force by a motor 40 according to a correction current value i1 set according to a torque variation amount dT/dt, i.e., a variation amount per a unit time of steering torque T, the correction current value i1 is set to a larger current value (reverse input suppression gain G=G1) than a usual current value (reverse input suppression gain G=1) when front/rear acceleration a is not an acceleration threshold value a0 or lower (not during braking) or when an absolute value of the steering torque T is not a torque threshold value Tb or lower (during steering) to control the motor 40 when the front/rear acceleration a is the acceleration threshold value a0 or lower (during braking) and the absolute value of the steering torque T is the torque threshold value Tb or lower (not during steering).
