To provide an electric power steering device which can use a small-capacity storage battery for power consumption.
An ECU 6 includes a motor control unit 11, and a driving circuit 12 which is controlled by the motor control unit 11 and supplies power to an electric motor 5. A main storage battery 7 supplies power to each unit in the ECU 6 including the driving circuit 12. A vibration generator 8 converts the vibration of a vehicle into electric energy. In the vibration generator 8, a rectifier circuit 9 converts AC power acquired by the vibration generator 8 into DC power. An auxiliary storage battery 10 stores the DC power outputted from the rectifier circuit 9. The auxiliary storage battery 10 is connected to the main storage battery 7 via the ECU 6, and to the driving circuit 12 in the ECU 6.
