Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device having a steering angle sensor which does not adversely affect a collapse stroke even when the sensor is installed in the vicinity of a steering shaft and is compactly installed.SOLUTION: A steering angle sensor is disposed in the vicinity of a deceleration gear coupled to a steering shaft of the electric power steering device. The steering angle sensor comprises: rotation angle detection means for detecting a rotation angle in a rotation direction of the deceleration gear; and a sensor board for converting the detected rotation angle into an electric signal. The sensor board is disposed in parallel with a side face of the deceleration gear.
