Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of gradually decreasing an assist force according to a decrease in voltages between terminals of an auxiliary power supply in a failure of a main power supply, and improving steering feeling.SOLUTION: An auxiliary power supply device is provided with a current sensor which detects a capacitor current as the main output current of a capacitor, and a voltage sensor which detects capacitor voltages as voltages between terminals of the capacitor. A target current value correction part 62 converts capacitor voltage detected by the voltage sensor to a reference voltage reduced in capacitor voltage variations by capacitor current change, based on the capacitor current detected by the current sensor in a failure of a main power supply. The target current value correction part 62 corrects a target current value of an electric motor based on the reference voltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
