Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact electric power steering device.SOLUTION: An electric power steering device 100 includes: a housing 5 which houses an input shaft 13, an output shaft 15, and a torque sensor 40; a cable 36 which electrically connects the torque sensor 40 with a controller 30 for controlling driving of an electric motor 21; and a connector 43 provided in the torque sensor 40 and connected with the cable 36. The housing 5 has: a first housing 50 rotatably supporting the input shaft 13; and a second housing 60 rotatably supporting the output shaft 15. The second housing 60 has: a through hole 65a for drawing the cable 36 into the second housing 60; and a recessed part 67 which is formed recessed on an inner peripheral surface 61b. The cable 36, which is drawn into the second housing 60 through the through hole 65a, passes through the recessed part 67, traverses an outer periphery of the torque sensor 40, and is connected with the connector 43.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
