The electric power supply device 1 includes an anode power supply 2 applying an anode voltage Va to an anode electrode 12, coil power supplies 3, 4 passing a coil current Ic through magnetic field generating coils, a gas flow rate control device 5 regulating a gas flow rate Q through a gas flow rate controller 15, and a control device 9. The control device 9 controls the anode voltage Va, the gas flow rate Q and the coil current Ic according to functions associated with the anode voltage Va, the gas flow rate Q and the coil current Ic, and regulates an ion acceleration of the Hall thruster 11 working as the ion accelerator.
