To provide an electric power supply system for a vehicle capable of thinning a main electric line.
This electric power supply system for the vehicle is featured to comprise of; an excess current determining information memory means D1 to store excess current determining information to determine an excess current state of the main electric line 1; a cutoff order information memory means D2 to store cutoff order information to show an order to cut off supply of power to loads 3a-3c; an electric current information generation means P1 to generate electric current information to show an electric current value of an electric current flowing on the main electric line 1; cutoff means 40a-40c provided on each of branch electric lines 2a-2c and to cut off supply of power from the branch electric lines 2a-2c to the loads 3a-3c; an excess current determining means P2 to determining an excess current state in accordance with the electric current information and the excess current judgement information generated by the electric current information generation means P1; and a control means P3 to control cutoff of the cutoff means 40a-40c provided on the branch electric lines 2a-2c in accordance with the cutoff order information of the cutoff order information memory means D2 when the excess current determining means P2 determined to be in the excess electric current state.
