Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric propulsion type ship capable of executing efficient braking, without adding an exclusive braking device, even in a uniaxial propulsion type driving system.SOLUTION: An electric propulsion type ship of a uniaxial propulsion type comprises: an inverter 13 for converting DC electric power from an inboard power source into AC electric power; an AC electric motor 14 driven by the inverter; a propelling propeller 15 mechanically connected to the AC electric motor; a braking operation part branched off-connected to the inverter, converting the DC electric power from the inboard power source into the AC electric power and operating by the AC electric power; a braking operation part for operating by using its electric power by generating the regenerative electric power by operating the AC electric motor as a generator by reversely rotating the propeller when electric power supply to the inverter is lost by a deceleration command; and a control part 18 for executing its control.
