To use an electric razor without any problem even when a secondary battery is insufficiently charged or the voltage thereof drops during the use, by combining the secondary battery with an electric double-layer capacitor.
An electric razor equipped with a power supply part 1 and a motor 2 to drive a blade upon receipt of power therefrom, is formed out of a secondary battery 12 charged with a commercial AC power supply 4 via the power supply part 1, and an electric double-layer capacitor 13 connected to the secondary battery 12 in parallel. In addition the first switch 31 for connecting the secondary battery 12 to the motor 2, and the second switch 32 for connecting the electric double-layer capacitor 13 to the motor 2 are respectively provided between the power supply part 1 and the motor 2. When the motor 2 cannot be well driven via the secondary battery 12 only, the second switch 32 is turned on, and power is fed from the electric double-layer capacitor 13 to the motor 2.
