Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable satisfactorily disposing of even such material for melting as material containing unburnt carbon in a large quantity by melting without lowering the capacity of disposal relating to disposal of material for melting such as flying ash by melting in an electric resistance melting furnace.
CONSTITUTION: A primary combustion chamber 4 for burning unburnt carbon contained in material for melting 6 is formed in a material-feeding line 7 which can feed such material for melting 6 as flying ash into a furnace body 2 in a setup to burn unburnt carbon in material for melting 6 in the primary combustion chamber 4 and, after that, the furnace body 2 is charged with the material for melting 6 for disposal by melting.
