This electric rice cooker includes: inner pot heating means for heating an inner pot; browning control mode setting means for setting a browning control mode; and browning control means for heating the inner pot at a browning temperature that is higher than the heating temperature in a normal rice cooking control mode. In this electric rice cooker, the browning control means starts the browning control, with a certain set temperature defined as a standard and, after starting the browning control, performs the browning control at a set temperature different from the set temperature when starting the browning control.
