To provide an electric rotary actuator which is compact, rotatable at any stopped position, has a cost and an inertia as low as possible, is capable of controlling the displacement of a harness cord heald of one or plural yarns, useful for forming an opening for a weaving machine, especially for controlling the harness cord heald for a jacquard type weaving system.
A stator is composed of two stator elements 4 shifted along the revolving shaft line of a rotor 6. The rotor 6 is composed of a pipe comprising at least two permanent magnets 8 which are polarized symmetrically with respect to a point and shifted in the shaft direction in a pipe 7. Each magnet is arranged in an air gap 10 in the stator element 4. Advantageously, the polarities or the angles of the permanent magnets or the stator elements are mutually shifted.
