Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3198346
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent photoelectric deterioration of a photosensitive body and to improve wear resistance and durability by incorporating silicone resin fine particles subjected to heat treatment into a charge generation layer.
CONSTITUTION: A charge transport layer 2 and a charge generation layer 3 are formed on a conductive supporting body 1. The charge generation layer 3 contains silicone resin particles which are commercially available and are treated by heating at ≥250°C. It is preferable that the silicone resin fine particles have 0.5-5μm particle size. These silicone resin particles can be easily heated in a commercial oven and are added preferably by 5-500 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of a binder resin. If the amt. is less than 5 pts.wt., the absorption of light of the charge generation layer is not enough, which decreases sensitivity. If the amt. exceeds 500 pts.wt., the obtd. film becomes brittle, which decreases mechanical strength.
