Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric steering lock device capable of increasing a pull-out force of a lock bolt and also shortening a pull-out time for the lock bolt.SOLUTION: An electric steering lock device 1 comprises: a lock unit which can move between a lock position where it is engaged with a steering shaft and an unlock position where the engagement is released; a rotary member 40 which can be rotated in regular and reverse directions with drive force of an electric motor; a screw mechanism including a male screw part 32a disposed on the lock unit and a female screw part 40b disposed on the rotary member 40, which makes the lock unit move toward the lock position or the unlock position according to the rotation of the rotary member 40; and a cam mechanism which makes the lock unit operate at an operating pitch longer than the operation pitch of the screw mechanism in a direction to the unlock position continuously after the male screw part 32a and the female screw part 40b of the screw mechanism are disengaged from each other at the time of unlock operation for the lock unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
