Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power system for a bicycle which detects or predicts gear change without adding spacial processing to a gear change cable.SOLUTION: An electric power system for a bicycle includes: a change gear; a detection part which detects movement of the change gear; and a control part which controls an assist motor for assisting human power driving force on the basis of an output signal of the detection part. The control part reduces output of the assist motor or turns off the output of the assist motor on the basis of the output signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
