PURPOSE: To reduce the change of delivered hot-water temperature even after the change of inlet water amount and permit to keep a set temperature by a method wherein a temperature sensor is provided near the outlet port of a water inlet pipe and the temperature sensitive section of the temperature sensor is contacted with the surface of a heater at a position near the outlet port of the water inlet pipe.
CONSTITUTION: When a flow amount regulating valve 4 is opened, a sheath heater 6 is conducted, water flows through the water inlet pipe 7 and is discharged out of the outlet port 7a of the water inlet pipe in a condition that the waster licks the sheath heater 6. The temperature sensor 1 detects the surface temperature of the sheath heater 6 and controlls outlet hot-water temperature to a set temperature. When the flow amount regulating valve 4 is choked, the amount of inlet water is reduced and the surface temperature at the contacting part 6a of the temperature sensor has a tendency to increase suddenly. The sudden increase of the temperature is detected by the temperature sensitive section 1a and the amount of conduction is reduced whereby the surface temperature is returned to a temperature before the variation of the amount of inlet water. When the opening degree of the flow amount regulating valve 4 is increased, the amount of inlet water is increased and the surface temperature of the contacting part 6a of the temperature sensor has a temdency to be reduced suddenly. This is detected by the temperature sensitive section 1a and the amount of conduction is increased whereby the surface temperature is returned to the temperature before the that of the variation of the amount of inlet water.
