Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility that foreign objects enter an outer frame through an air window, without deteriorating the ability to cool a motor, by providing a cover which closes the air window when a trigger is in its initial position and which, as the trigger is operated, opens the air window by an amount matching the amount by which the trigger is operated. SOLUTION: When a trigger 6 is operated, a fan secured to a motor shaft rotates along with a motor 7, producing cooling wind. Since an arm 4 supporting a cover 1 is secured to the trigger 6, the arm 4 and the cover 1 move in the same direction as the operating direction of the trigger 6. Therefore, when the trigger 6 is operated, i.e., when the motor 7 is driven, the cover 1 closing the hole of an air window 3 moves by the amount of operation of the trigger 6, opening the air window 3 according to the amount of operation. Thus the cooling wind is exhausted out of an outer frame 2. Since the device for regulating the opening and closing of the air window thus opens the air window 3 according to the amount of operation of the trigger 6, the air window 3 opens by an amount matching the amount of power fed to the motor 7, and necessary cooling power can be obtained automatically.
