This electric toothbrush 1 is provided with a handle part 3 disposed with a power supply 6 and a control circuit 7, a neck part 4 extended from the handle part 3, and a head part 5 provided at the tip of the neck part 4, wherein the power supply 6 supplies an electric power to the head part 5 and the control circuit 7 controls the actuation of the head part 5. The head part 5 has a movable portion 9 filled with a plurality of bristles 10 on a bristle-filled surface 9a, a fixed portion 11 for retaining the movable portion 9, and a drive mechanism 12 for reciprocatingly vibrating the movable portion 9 at least in the direction orthogonally crossing with the bristle-filled surface 9a.
