An electric traveling vehicle includes: a first traveling motor 3 that transmits a driving force for traveling to a front wheel axle; a second traveling motor 4 that transmits a driving force for traveling to a rear wheel axle; a connection shaft 101 that connects a rotating shaft of the first traveling motor 3 with a rotating shaft of the second traveling motor 4; a parking brake device 80 that transmits a parking brake force to the connection shaft by a parking brake command; a torsion angle calculation part that calculates a torsion angle of the connection shaft 101 when the parking brake force is given; a torque calculation device that calculates a torsion torque corresponding to the torsion angle; and a controller that controls driving of the first and/or the second traveling motors 3, 4 so that the first and/or the second traveling motors outputs a driving torque for compensating for the torsion torque prior to starting.
