Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vacuum cleaner designed so that a power supply code can be more easily pulled out of a body case.SOLUTION: The electric vacuum cleaner includes: a code reel device 32 having a power supply code 31 stored in a body case 28 and connectable to an external power supply so as to be put in or taken out from the body case 28 and capable of supplying electricity at least to an electric blower via the power supply code 31 connected to the external power supply; a code opening body 42 which is turnably set over the back part and the upper part of the body case 28 and through which the power supply code 31 is passed; and an operation mechanism 58 which is provided with a pedal part 61 set on the body case 28 and makes the code opening body 42 turn by operation of the pedal part 61. The code opening body 42 turns so as to direct to the back of the body case 28 while the pedal part 61 of the operation mechanism 58 is not operated, and direct to the upper part of the body case 28 while the pedal part 61 of the operation mechanism 58 is operated.
