To prevent the generation of noise and vibration when determining an origin position in an electric ally operated valve and eliminate the difference between driven opening and actual opening.
Driving pulse is supplied to a driving coil 17a to control valve opening by seating/separating a needle valve 15 on/from a valve seat 11d. A Hall IC unit 20 is arranged in the periphery of a case 12. When determining the origin position, the origin position determining pulse is output to the driving coil 17a. A stopper mechanism 16 stops the turning of a rotor 13 for seating after the seating. Magnetism of a detection magnetic drum 13c of the rotor 13 is detected by the Hall IC unit 20 to detect the stop of the rotor 13. Supply of the origin position determining pulse is stopped when the stop is detected. A control is carried out corresponding to detection patterns of Hall IC signals. A history is stored as pulse number corresponding to valve opening. When an actual valve opening does not agree with the stored pulse number, driving is carried out by updating the valve opening.
