Abstract:

To make a driver recognize the coming of time for battery recharge by making dull acceleration characteristics through accelerator pedaling at the time of starting.

Motor driving is controlled so that the maximum output torque of a motor may be calculated according to accelerator opening and vehicle speed, and the output torque of the motor may meet the maximum output torque. The response speed of torque control which changes the output torque of the motor meeting the maximum output torque which changes according to accelerator pedaling or release is set to a prescribed value. Potential output power is limited if the quantity of battery state changes more than a standard. Therefore, battery state determining means 25, 26 discriminate the change and make such an adjustment as torque control response speed adjustment means 36-38 delays the response speed of torque control to a torque command meeting more changes in the quantity of battery state than the standard.
