To promptly complete parking operation while preventing a vehicle from slipping down a slope while automatic parking control is in execution.SOLUTION: An ECU executes processing including the steps to: set an upper limit value (S208) when a shift position is in a travel position (YES in S200), a vehicle is in a stopped state (YES in S202), a brake is in an on-state (YES in S204), and a cancel request flag is in an off-state (YES in S206); and cancel a setting of the upper limit value (S210) when a cancel request flag is in an on-state (NO in S206).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
