To provide an electric vehicle that makes it possible to use a high voltage system for travelling as a power supply for an electric brake device and an electric power steering device, while securing operation such as braking or the like during travelling.
The electric vehicle includes a high voltage system power supply 1 to drive a travelling system motor 6 and a low voltage system power supply 2. The driving motors 11, 12 for the power steering device and the braking device are connected to both high voltage system and low voltage system power supplies 1, 2. When the high voltage system power supply 1 and the travelling system motor 6 are electrically connected, the driving motors 11, 12 are operated with the high voltage system power supply 1, and when the high voltage system power supply 1 and the travelling system motor 6 are not electrically connected, the driving motors 11, 12 are operated with the lower voltage system power supply 2.
