To provide an electric vehicle having a parking lock device to be driven to perform parking lock by an electric actuator, for reducing the frequency of operations to reliably perform the parking lock while securing the certainty of the parking lock.

The electric vehicle includes a power supply SW 24 to be turned on by input means 22, 23 which allows the vehicle 100 to perform electric operations, a P-lock control means 28 for allowing an electric P-lock means 80 to perform P-lock, and a shift control means 27 to be actuated by turning the power supply SW 24 on for operating the P-lock control means 28 to allow the P-lock means 80 to perform the P-lock in a parking requested state. In the parking requested state, when the power supply SW 24 is turned on by the input means 23 different in connecting operation from a charging gun, the P-lock means 80 is allowed to perform reference position learning operation, and when the power supply SW 24 is turned on by the input means 22 based on the connection operation of the charging gun, the P-lock means 80 is prohibited from performing the reference position learning operation.
