Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable electric vehicle which is made to travel in a direction intended by a user, by changing a rotation direction of a motor when a forward travel direction of the electric vehicle changes between a folded state and a folding-released state and attaining an appropriate travel direction corresponding to a state of the electric vehicle.SOLUTION: The electric vehicle includes a motor as a drive power source, is configured so that a vehicle body can be folded, and travels using drive force of the motor. The electric vehicle further includes: switch means performing switching of a travel direction between a forward travel and a rearward travel; state detection means detecting folding of the vehicle body; and drive control means controlling a rotation direction of the motor so that the electric vehicle travels in a reverse direction to that when not detecting the folded state of the vehicle body, when the state detection means detects the folded state of the vehicle body, even when the travel direction set by the switch means is the same.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
