Abstract:
To secure the safety when gas is generated from a battery cell regardless of the posture of an electric vehicle.SOLUTION: An electric vehicle 1 comprising ladder frames 2 includes: a drive unit 5 in which a motor 6 driving the vehicle 1 and a gear box 7 transmitting the driving force of the motor 6 to rear wheels 3 of the vehicle 1 are integrally constituted; a battery housing 12 which stores a battery module comprised of a plurality of battery cells supplying the power to the motor 6; and a vent portion 13 which can discharge gas in the battery housing 12 to the outside when the internal pressure of the battery housing 12 becomes equal to or higher than a prescribed value. The vent portion 13 is arranged in such a manner that the vent portion 13 is positioned between the ladder frames 2 and the opening of the vent portion 13 for discharging the gas is opposite to the drive unit 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
