Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit a portion of a peripheral wall part 72b of a motor housing 72a on which a water jacket 63 is formed from being broken by collision load at the time of frontal collision of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A motor 72 of an electric vehicle includes: a cylindrical motor housing 72a disposed so that a cylinder axial direction thereof is a vehicle width direction; and a water jacket 63 formed in a predetermined range in the vehicle width direction of a peripheral wall part of the motor housing 72a along the circumferential direction of the motor housing 72a to cool the motor 72. Each of two outer portions each located outside the predetermined range in a portion on the vehicle front side of the motor housing 72a includes a projecting part 10 projecting to the vehicle front side from a vehicle front end of a portion of the peripheral wall part 72b on which the water jacket 63 is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
