Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a driving feeling and prevent deterioration of a travel range by enabling deceleration using a regenerative braking in the case of a switch-back travel being performed.SOLUTION: A charge control apparatus, for use in an electric vehicle 10 that travels using power of a motor 12 driven with power supplied from a power storage device 22 and provides braking-force by regenerative braking using the motor, includes: control means (a charge amount limit part 262) for controlling an amount of charging the power storage device; and prediction means (a switch back travel prediction part 241) for predicting, when charging the power storage device 22, a start of a switch-back travel that occurs by a driving operation of the electric vehicle. Further, in a case where the prediction means predicts a start of the switch-back travel, the control means suppresses the amount of charging.
