Title:
ELECTRIC WARMING BOX
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08173330
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To keep cooked rice, etc., warm without making its taste worse by using a thermostatic heat generating sheet as a heating element and using a moisture-keeping member to absorb and keep the moisture produced from the food to be kept warm.

CONSTITUTION: In this electric warming box, a sealed room is created by placing the positions A' and B' of a lid 4 on the corresponding positions A and B of a fixed box 1. The food to be kept warm is stored in this sealed room. Inside the fixed box 1, a thermostatic heat generating sheet whose temperature prescribed for the thermostat is between 40°C and 65°C is used. A moisture-keeping member 5 made of cotton sheet is attached inside the lid 4. The moisture- keeping member 5 is fixed to the lid 4 through a detachable member 6 stuck on the lid 4 and a detachable part 7 stuck on the moisture-keeping member 5 to absorb and keep the steam generated from the cooked rice stored in the warming box. Therefore, the steam from the cooked rice will not drop down on the rice as waterdrops, so the rice will not become watery, and can be kept warm in the warming box without its taste being deteriorated.
