Abstract:

To provide an electric water heater capable of controlling the reheating operation to save power rate.

This electric water heater is provided with at least a heating element 3 for heating the water in a hot water storage tank 2, a temperature sensor 4 for detecting a temperature of the water in the hot water storage tank 2, and a control part 7 calculating the required reheating time TH0 necessary for supplying the assumed amount of water of a determined water supply temperature, on the basis of the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 4 in the past, and controlling the heating element 3 to perform the reheating with a limit of the required reheating time TH0, when it is judged that the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 4 is lower than a set temperature.
