To provide an electric wheel which is compact and has a high output while improving the riding feeling of a vehicle.
The vibration of the gravity center of a motor 70 is limited in a manner to move on a straight line passing the gravity center by a torque rod 300. Dampers 140 and 150 are attached to a motor case 60 from the vertical direction DR1 of a car body, and the motor case 60 vibrates in such a manner that the vibration of the wheel transmitted through a knuckle 180 may be canceled. When the motor 70, a constant speed joint 30, a retarder 80, and a wheel 10 are arranged in this order, a planetary gear using a stepped pinion of which the length in the axial direction of the retarder is long is easy to adopt. Therefore, the ratio of the retarder is easy to increase. Thus, the torque of the wheel can be increased by the retarder of the larger ratio, and the introduction of an in-wheel motor to a large-sized vehicle becomes possible.
