Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wheelchair which can prompt an occupant to change a position of her (his) leg, clothing or the like by distinguishing it from contamination on the surface of a sensor even when the surface of the sensor is covered with the leg, the clothing or the like.SOLUTION: An electric wheelchair includes: a seating sensor 123 arranged on a chair mechanism 105 to detect an occupant seating; an object detection sensor 122 detecting an object in a peripheral environment of the electric wheelchair; a comparison part 151 comparing information obtained by the seating sensor and the object detection sensor; and a judgement part 152 judging whether the object detected by the object detection sensor is an obstacle when the electric wheelchair travels, or his (her) own body or his (her) possession, on the basis of the comparison result in the comparison part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
