This wire accident detector comprises: a sound acquiring section for sequentially acquiring the sound near the wire; a sound storage section for sequentially storing sound information related to the sound acquired by the sound acquiring section; a determining section for determining whether an accident of the wire occurs; and a sound reading section for reading, from the sound storage section, sound information from the first time before the accident of the wire occurs to the second time when the accident of the wire occurs or sound information from the first time to the third time after the second time in order to analyze sound information when the determining section determines that the accident of the wire occurs.
