For an electric wire coating peeling tool 1 which peels an insulation coating 21 into a helical shape from an insulation coated electric wire 20, a grip member 7 made of elastic member is provided at the outer periphery of the tool main body 2 in a circumferential direction, so that the helical-shaped peeled debris 23 can pass through a slit 8 formed at the grip member 7 during peeling of the coating, while the grip member 7 prevents the peeled debris 23 from falling by holding the peeled debris 23 once the peeling of the coating has been completed and the peeled debris 23 has been separated from the electric wire coating.
