PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric work vehicle that facilitates switching of driving of a work device to driving by an engine while reflecting an intension of an operator at the time when remaining power of a battery for driving the work device decreases.SOLUTION: An operation panel 22 by which an operator operates a work device is provided at a rear part of a vehicle, and information transmitting means 311 that transmits shortage of remaining power of a battery 220 is provided adjacent to the operation panel 22. At a part of the operation panel 22 is provided an engine start switch 312 through which the operator inputs operation for starting driving by an engine. By using driving switching control means 320, input through the engine start switch is not received when the remaining power of the battery is larger than a predetermined threshold, and the engine is started in response to the input through the engine start switch 312, when the remaining power of the battery is below the threshold and after the information transmitting means transmits the shortage of the remaining power of the battery, and driving of the work device using an engine driving mechanism is started.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
