Abstract:
PURPOSE: To minimize generation of reverse torque by winding an exciter coil around two out of three stator teeth having identical dimensions. CONSTITUTION: A first actuator body 1 comprises a permanent magnet rotor 5 having N and S poles. A second actuator body 3 comprises a stator body 17 having three teeth 19, 20 and 21 extending radially. Three teeth 19, 20 and 21 have identical dimensions and central axes extending at an interval of 120 deg.. Exciter coils 29, 31 are wound around two stator teeth 19, 21 out of three stator teeth 19, 20 and 21 and no exciter coil is wound around the remaining stator tooth 20. Since the actuator comprises three identical stator teeth required for removing reverse torque and only two exciter coil, a suitable ratio is ensured between generating torque and supply power resulting in minimization of reverse torque.
