PURPOSE: To provide an electric carpet having high waterproof, contamination prevention and heat conduction functions, and having high design quality as well.

CONSTITUTION: Regarding an electric carpet 1 equipped with a heat generating wire 3 led on and fixed to the reverse side of a surface material 2, and bonded to an insulation material 5 as integral part thereof with an adhesive 4, the material 2 is formed out of a base material 6 of nonwoven fabric, a foamed resin layer 7 applied at least to one side of the material 6 and smoothed in surface, and a waterproof and contamination preventive resin layer 8 coated to the surface of the layer 7. In this case, a printed layer may be formed on the smoothed surface of the layer 7, and a transparent waterproof and contamination preventive resin layer may be further formed thereon.
