To provide an electrical connector which easily attaches/detaches a cable connector to and from a shroud, inserting the cable connector without errors in insertion, easily complying with a change in the number of conductors of the cable connector, and causing no faulty contact of the cable connector.
In an electrical connector, a locking piece 20 fixed on width directional both sides of a cable relief hole side in a socket holding body 14 and provided with a locking part 30 in the free end side is arranged in a cable connector, while a cover 18 moving slidably on the locking piece 20 is mounted, and in a shroud 40, a plurality of locking holes 44 are arranged in the opposed positions on the upper side of a sidewall. A lock receiving member 50 mounted in the locking hole 44 and provided with an engaging part engaging the locking piece 20 is arranged, and the cable connector 10 can be easily attached/detached at a single touch operation.
