To provide an electrical device capable of reliably performing a data-saving operation on power interruption or on switching-off of a power supply without using an uninterruptible power source.
The voltage in a nickel-hydrogen battery 15 is supplied to a power-supply circuit for operation 16 when the power is interrupted or the power-supply switch 11 is turned off. Thus, a data-saving operation is reliably performed to the end by a CPU 20 through the continuous output of the operation voltage by the power-supply circuit for operation 16, irrespective of power interruption or switching-off of the power-supply switch 11. After a power shut-down, a voltage feeding path is closed from the nickel-hydrogen battery 15 to the power-supply circuit for operation 16.
