Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas treatment method which dispenses with the process to recover a byproduct such as nitric acid during treating NOx and also does not produce the NOx during treating VOC and dioxins, and further, ensures an easy dioxin treatment after the adsorption of dioxins in treating the dioxins.
SOLUTION: The gas to be treated is circulated through an adsorbent such as active carbon, so that the NOx, VOC or dioxins contained in the gas, are adsorbed. The gas in a container is substituted with nitrogen in the NOx treatment and is substituted with oxygen in the VOC or dioxin treatment. The reduction treatment of the NOx or the oxidation treatment of the VOC or the dioxins is performed by heating the adsorbent, then releasing the adsorbed NOx, VOC or dioxins from the adsorbent and applying an electrical discharge to them.
