Abstract:
PURPOSE: To operate an electric heating element comprising an electrically conductive elongated strip at a temperature lower at one portion of the element than at the other portion.
CONSTITUTION: A radiation heater electrically heating element includes an elongated electrically conductive strip 1 which is to be buried partly in a thermal and electrical insulator base 3 along its edge. The strip 1 is constructed with an elongated continuous portion and an elongated discontinuous portion indispensable to the continuous portion. The discontinuous portion is intended to be buried in the base 3, and hence have a plurality of notches 4 therein.
